PENHALLURICK - Annette M. (nee Drago)
Of Kenmore, New York, at age 93 years, June 21, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Penhallurick; dear mother of Kent W. (Joyce), William J. (Debra Chase) and John D. (Beverley) Penhallurick. Loving grandmother of Ryan and Chase Penhallurick; dear sister of the late Ethel M. Cameron and the late Eugene Drago. Also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Annette was born in Dunkirk, New York, on May 1, 1928, to James and Marie Drago. Annette lived in Fredonia, Buffalo and Kenmore, NY. Annette was a proud graduate of Nardin Academy, where she served as her class president. Annette attended the College of New Rochelle and graduated from the University of Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree majoring in early childhood education. As a teacher, she ran a nursery school in Grand Island, NY, before the birth of her first child. She married in 1951 and raised three sons with her late husband of 48 years, Joseph, in Kenmore, where she was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker. She participated in garden club and other community organizations.
Annette was a strong woman and beloved matriarch of her family. She always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Annette was a lover of life and of God, praying her novenas for all in need of her prayers. She treasured her family and the times spent together, especially the 51 years of summers vacationing with her family and her sister Ethel’s family at her beloved Cape Cod.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, family, and she is cherished by all who knew her.

LAWRENCE GINNANE FUNERAL HOME, 3215 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, Thursday (July 1), 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist RC Church, St. John Neumann Chapel, 1085 Englewood Ave., near Belmont Ave., Tonawanda Twp., Friday (July 2) at 9:30 a.m. Please meet at Neumann Chapel. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
