PFEIL – Diane J. (nee: Herman)

February 16, 1950 – January 28, 2025

Diane (Herman) Pfeil was born on February 16, 1950 in Kenmore, NY.  She attended St. Amelia’s grade school and graduated from Kenmore East High School.  She received her degree from Rochester Nursing School and upon graduation began her nursing career in public health where she found her home at Kenmore Mercy Hospital where she was a nurse for 30+ years.

In 1972, she married Charlie Pfeil and moved to North Tonawanda (Wheatfield) where they were married for over 50 years.  Diane was a devote member of Catholic church and was always diligent to attend services.  She enjoyed walking, swimming, and watching her children’s sporting activities as they grew up.  In her leisure time Diane enjoyed a love for travel, reading, dining out, and was always the first to see a good movie.  In 2015, Diane retired from her nursing career at Kenmore Mercy so that she could spend time with her husband and immediate family while continuing to enjoy those things that she most loved.

Diane was proceeded in death by her father Frank Herman, her Step-Father Faust and mother Ruth (Newell) D’Addario; Her sister Sharon (Herman) Cyran.  Diane is survived by her husband Charlie Pfiel, her brother Robert D’Addario & wife Bobbie, and step-siblings; Two children Kristen & (Matthew) Bradley, Daniel & (Christie) Pfiel; 3 Grandchildren Kaylee, Landon and Charlee.
