Douglas Petko Obituary

PETKO - Douglas R.

Douglas Petko passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021. He was a resident of Tonawanda, New York.

Doug was the beloved husband of Susan M. Ehrmann Petko;  dear father of Kristinalee E. Petko;  brother of Shelley (James) Bowser; Robin Becker and the late Dennis Petko and Susan Varelakis; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Doug graduated from Depew High School and achieved a Business degree from Bryant and Stratton. He would apply his education, experience and skills to open his own business - PC Solutions.

Doug remained active in his community and with various national societies where he would often volunteer his time as a board member.  He had great insight and work ethic along with the natural ability to teach others.

He was always working on something - Doug was never one to sit idle. When family or friends needed something fixed he was the one they went to for help.

Doug had a passion for classic cars, owning many, and enjoyed attending car shows.  The 1969 Corvette was his favorite car.

Those who knew him will remember him for his courage and strength in the face of adversity.

Despite battles with several medical issues Doug lived a full life - a life he enjoyed.

Doug’s positivity touched and inspired everyone he met. He will forever remain in the hearts of his family and anyone who was blessed to have met him.

A memorial service for Doug will be held at a later date.
