SPEICHER – Eleanore C. (nee: McIntyre)

December 27, 1923 – November 20, 2024

Eleanore Catherine McIntyre Speicher died on November 20, 2024, at the Aguila Assisted Living Facility in Tampa, Florida at the age of 100.

Eleanore was born in Girardville, Pennsylvania on December 27, 1923, to the late Marcella and James McIntyre.

Eleanore was a long-time resident of Kenmore, New York, and the wife of 55 years to the late James A. Speicher.

Dear mother of James Steven Speicher, Barbara J. Shaw, Gregory (Debbie) Speicher, Mary Loretta Speicher, Kingston, NY; Timothy (Anne) Speicher, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Michael (Sandy Williams) Speicher, and Paul Speicher.

Preceded in death by daughters Rosanne Speicher and Margaret Fischman, granddaughter Laura M. Perkins and sisters Rosemary Brady and Jean Geoffrey.

Survived by 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge the love and care that her granddaughter Annie Caruso of Tampa, Florida provided Eleanore in her last years.

Eleanore was prominent in local Ken-Ton politics and the co-founder and Chairwoman of the Conservative Party in the Town of Tonawanda, NY. She enjoyed playing the piano, favoring Irish tunes.

All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul’s RC Church 2930 Delaware Ave., Kenmore Friday (Jan. 31st) at 10 AM. Please meet at church. Interment Elmlawn Cemetery.
