Beloved husband of Deborah Whelan Watkins; loving dad of Sherry (Ben Hasfurter) Holtz, James (Melissa), and Timothy (Kim) Holtz; loving stepfather of Heidi Marie Gulisano, Daniel, Michael (Mark Licciardella), and William Panaro;  grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren;  Brother of Susan (David) Bedford, Michael (Jackie) Watkins, JoAnne Stringer, Kimmy (David) Watkins, late Richard (late Barbara) Pixley and late Linda Scholl; also survived by nieces and nephews. 

Friends may call at D. LAWRENCE GINNANE FUNERAL HOME 3215 Delaware Ave., Kenmore Friday (November 4th) 2:00 - 8:00 PM.  All are invited to a funeral service at Deerhurst Presbyterian Church 250 Deerhurst Park Blvd. (at Colvin Blvd.) Tonawanda Saturday 3:00 PM. 

Memorials to Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org/donate) or a charity of your choice is preferred. 

“J.R.” was a retired Buffalo Police Lieutenant, Vice President of the Gold Shield Assoc., President of Kelly’s Korner Nite Club and former Board Member/Airport Coordinator of Honor Flight Buffalo.
