John Brady Obituary

BRADY – John G.

December 2, 1948 – November 27, 2024

John G. Brady, a brilliant and renowned musician and Grammy-nominated composer, was also deeply passionate about teaching and mentored many aspiring and successful musicians throughout his career. Inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2003, John was not only a talented artist but also a loving single father. He often referred to his son, Sean D. Brady (Sheila Herd) of Sacramento, California, as his greatest creation. He is also survived by his sister, Sr. Patricia Brady SSMN of Clarence, New York. John was born on December 2, 1948 in Buffalo, New York, to John A. and Emily G. (Gerasimowicz) Brady.

A lifelong resident of Buffalo, John was a tremendous asset to the music community. John will be deeply missed and will always be remembered for his quiet demeanor, big heart, uncompromising integrity, remarkable musical talent, sharp wit and irreverent sense of humor.

In remembrance of John’s life and love, the family asks that in lieu of gifts or flowers any charitable donations be made to:

White Whiskers Dog Sanctuary, 35 Lewis Road, Akron, NY 14001

or The Community Music School, 217 E. Delevan Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14208.
