MURPHY – Judith C. “Judy” (nee: Jankowski)

June 4, 1943 - April 24, 2024

Of Norwell, MA formerly of Kenmore, NY passed peacefully at home April 24, 2024. 

Beloved wife of 59 years to John J. Murphy Jr.; Dear mother of Mary Colleen (Paul Conboy) Murphy, Karen (Brandon) Murphy-Fitch, John (Erin) Murphy, Michael (Kristin Gratton) Murphy; Loving grandmother of Kathleen (Wyatt) Mulheren, Shaelyn Tobin, Daniel Tobin, Brendan Tobin, Finn Murphy, Liam Fitch; sister of Louise Jankowski Hayes; daughter of the late Joseph F. and Dorothy Swider Jankowski. 

All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul’s RC Church 2930 Delaware Ave., Kenmore Friday May 17th at 10:00 AM. Please meet at church.  Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  

Her family will never forget her most endearing qualities: her attention to detail for the “grandest event” of every year - Christmas, her passion for Michael Jackson, her genuinely kind, caring and gentle nature, her most offensive swear word “CRUMB”, her hilarious sense of humor, her loyalty and ability to vault a secret as promised “for all of her days”, her request for a tattoo at the age of 78, and her tiny stature yet enormous presence in all of our lives at the very center of our family.
