Of Kenmore, formerly of Grand Island and Warsaw, NY at 87 years July 22, 2023. 

Devoted wife of 56 years to the late John R. Bayse.  Cherished mother of Charles (Gail Driscoll) Bayse, Sally (Jeffrey) Holbein and Judie (Robert) Kolmetz.  Beloved grandmother of James (Nicole) Steffan, Heather (Mike) Hutfles, Matthew (Justin Gilmore) Holbein, Laurel (Johnathan O’Brien) Holbein, Holly (Jacob McCreary) Holbein, Kristin (Huzef) Kadri and Jacob Kolmetz; great-grandmother of Madison, Brooklyn, Anthony and Jenna; special aunt to Patricia (Mike) Cortes and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents John and Flora Southwick Griffin and siblings Joan, Dorothy, Mary and James. 

Generous and kind, Loretta loved Grand Island and spent twenty happy years working at town hall, where she had many friends.  Loretta was an avid reader and Scrabble player.  She loved her morning newspaper and crossword puzzle, sitting on the porch in the warmer months. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
