Nancy was too humble to speak of all the charitable work she did. Nancy joined the Peace Corps at the age of 41 learning Swahili and teaching in Africa. She was a multi gallon blood donor and also gave to many charities, especially ones that helped the disadvantaged. Of course she believed that charity started with helping family. She received a scholarship to get her masters in chemistry at the University of Pittsburg.
For years she served as a chemistry high school teacher in The City of Buffalo. Nancy was humble and outstanding.
She had many nieces and nephews that were proud to call her aunt. Surviving her are Thomas (Cindy) Acara, Mary Grace (Late Jim) Knapp, Janet (Ron Stahura) Acara, Rosanne (Ed) Boczar, Mike Flaherty, Mary Frances Flaherty, and Matthew (Kim) Flaherty. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews, James Thomas Knapp, Kyle Knapp, Aaron Knapp, Monique Acara, Thomas Acara, Alicia Sadler, Corrine Stahura, John Stahura, and Quinn Flaherty. She will also be missed by her great great nieces and nephews Christopher Knapp, Rosa Maria Knapp, Jack Knapp, James Knapp, and Wyatt Acara.
