July 19, 1965 – October 15, 2025

Of Kenmore, NY Beloved wife of 35 years to Donald P. Whelan; Devoted mother of Emily Whelan, Bradley (Steph Miller) and David (Taylor Kurnik) Whelan; Loving Nani of Layla; sister of Margaret Derk; also survived by her devoted canine companion “Freya”, nieces, nephews and many loving family members. 

Family will receive friends at D. LAWRENCE GINNANE FUNERAL HOME 3215 Delaware Ave., Kenmore Sunday (Oct. 19th) 2:00 - 5:00 PM.  All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedicts RC Church 1317 Eggert Rd. Amherst, NY Monday at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Buffalo P.O. Box 590 Buffalo, NY 14240 are preferred.

Rebecca’s greatest accomplishment was being a mom and a Nani. She took great pride in being a healer whether it was through nursing  or her words she knew how to be the strength people needed. Beck was a loyal friend, a strong advocate, and truly one of kind.
