GORE – Robert Emmett
December 30, 1929 - November 26, 2023
Of Amherst, NY
Robert, a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Serving in active duty during the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam War as well as the National Guard and Army Reserves, and was a member of the Korean War Memorial Committee, passed peacefully at age 93 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He retired after 30 years as Attendance teacher for the Buffalo Public Schools.
Beloved husband of 59 years to Charlene F. Hill Gore; Dear father of Dennis Gore, David Gore, Amy (Robin) Kasiska, Catherine (Bryan) Simpson; Loving grandfather of Allen, Nyssa, Patrick, and Brianna Gore; brother of the late John, late Gerald, late Kevin, late Kerry, late Daniel Gore and late Maureen Angus; also survived by many nieces and nephews; Lovingly cared for by Cheryl, Francine, Ruthann, Jody, the VA Home Care Team and VA Hospice Team.
All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at U.B. Newman Center 495 Skinnersville Rd. Amherst Saturday (December 2nd) at 9:30 AM. Please meet at church. No prior visitation. Interment Elmlawn Cemetery.
