CARR - Betty “Elizabeth” (Briggs Carr)
At 99 years, at home in Kenmore, NY, May 1, 2022.

Born in Ogdensburg, NY, daughter of the late Rufus and Ruth Capron Briggs; wife of the late Raymond T. Carr; dear mother of Nancy (Charles Guevara) Carr, James E. Carr and the late John C. Carr; loving grandmother Gregory C. Guevara; sister of the late Jane Briggs, late Edwin (late Mary) and late John Briggs; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at D. LAWRENCE GINNANE FUNERAL HOME, 3215 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, Sunday (May 8th) 2:00 - 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, Delaware Ave. at Victoria Blvd., Monday (May 9th) at 10:00 AM. Please meet at church. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Betty was a retired Librarian Clerk at Ken-Ton Public Schools, active in area Girl Scouting, Kenmore Antiques Club, St. Paul’s Church, and Friends of the Library. She was known for her love of books, her friends, black cats, and her summer home on the St. Lawrence River.

Memorial contributions to Kenmore Friends of the Library, 160 Delaware Rd., Kenmore, NY 14217 or Erie County SPCA, 300 Harlem Rd., West Seneca, NY 14224 are preferred.
